Exposition “Vārti” at Jaunauce manor has been nominated for the National Design Award of Latvia
The augmented reality exposition “Vārti” (The Gate) of Jaunauce manor has been nominated for the National Design Award of Latvia in the category “Environmental and interior design”.
The exposition is an interactive design tool, which can be conveniently used by the visitors of the manor. Markers – podiums and frames – are placed in the unique late Classicism dome hall taking into consideration the historical interior. Using a tablet, paintings and busts from manor’s 19th century collection can be viewed including artworks by Raffael, Leonardo da Vinci and sculptor B. Thorvaldsen. 19th century dance demostrations can also be seen using this tool.
