Drinking water taps have been installed in the town centre and at the beach of Lake Saldus
Clean and tasty drinking water is available in the town centre and at the beach of Lake Saldus!
With the arrival or warmer temperatures, two free drinking water taps have been installed in Saldus town – one at the “Swedbank” building at 2 Striķu iela and another one at the beach of Lake Saldus. Locals and visitors have the opportunity to fill their water bottles during the hot summer days.
You can use your own water bottle and press the button to fill it up. Advice: it is a good idea to let the water run for a few seconds and also to rinse the bottle.
The taps are connected to the central water system, which is safe to drink and comes from a borehole. For additional safety, there is a charcoal filter, which traps the samm particles and improves taste and smell of the water. A magnetic water softener is also used.
